As the country opens up and the economy gets back on its feet, for many small businesses it can feel like being at a crossroads: you have already given your all to keep your company going over the past year, now it is time to find the way forward into unknown terrain.
Sometimes, it is the right conversations and nuggets of advice that inspire you to choose the best direction.
So Lloyds Bank is offering the chance for small and local business owners to win some valuable online face-to-face advice from an experienced entrepreneur. This is a rare opportunity to gain some unique insight and support from experienced business leaders providing a head start as we emerge from the pandemic. Small, local businesses have been one of the many heroes of the past year – keeping our spirits high in lockdown and providing for their communities despite the odds.
So if you know of a company that has shown resilience, innovation or sheer grit and determination over the past year, then why not nominate them for the chance to be part of an intimate conversation with a respected business mentor? If you are a business owner, you can also nominate yourself.
We want to hear your lockdown learnings – tell us why you or your nominated business deserves this chance to get some extra support as we emerge from the pandemic.
Our two online mentoring sessions will take place in early September with entrepreneurs Kanya King CBE and Tamara Lohan MBE, and each session will offer up to 5 winning business owners the opportunity to meet one of our mentors online.
The competition runs Monday, June 7 – Sunday, July 18. Entries will be shortlisted by News UK and the final winners judged by Anthony Impey, CEO of Be the Business. Winners will be selected on the basis of how creatively they adapted to the challenges of the pandemic and the positive role they played in keeping their community’s spirits high.
